Museum Of London - Christmas Parties for 2011
The Finishing Touch, Party Ingredients and Firebird Events have entered an agreement with the Museum of London to exclusively stage events at the Museum throughout the festive period. Following the £20 million refurbishment, the Galleries of Modern London offer one of the most innovative event spaces in the City. Titled “Visions of London” the Museum is available for dinners, parties and cocktail receptions from late November until the 23rd December.

A Vision of London’s past and future….. Guests are invited on a journey through the Galleries of Modern London that unravel a story from 1666 to present day. Stunning exhibits and fascinating interactive displays lead the way.
Reception drinks and canapés can be served as guests move through time, passing the 18th Century Pleasure Gardens and cobbled streets
before soaking up the atmosphere of the roaring 20s outside the Savoy Grill and the original Selfridges lift.
A stroll through the 60s and 70s takes guests into the City Gallery where they will be able to enjoy drinks alongside the iconic Lord
Mayor’s Coach that was built in 1757 and provides a spectacular and unique backdrop.
From here guests will step into the future and Visions of London where images of 2012 and beyond are portrayed. This area links directly into the contemporary Sackler Hall that features a 48 meter LED ellipse suspended from the ceiling. This is the only one of its kind in the United Kingdom. Complete with a bank of 9 plasmas, it can be programmed to display logos, presentations, film or bespoke creative commissions.
Sackler Hall provides a magnificent surround for seated dinners catering for up to 550 guests or as the hub for larger bowl food and canapé
events. Decorative lighting and futuristic imagery combine with delicious catering as guests are able to soak up the atmosphere of this
innovative venue.
After dinner, guests will be invited through to the Linbury Gallery and the Olympian Nightclub featuring spectacular lighting and state of the art sound around a central dance floor and flanked with chill out zones and an arched light bar.

throughout December.
An ancient treasure map leads the way into the dimly lit back street and secluded entrance. The quest will continue into the Hall of Maps or
Flight Gallery where drinks will be served before guests venture through the ancient vault into the Temple of Gold.
